Photospring Festival www.ccdphotospring.com
Caochangdi PhotoSpring – Arles in Beijing is an annual photography festival that brings together local and international photography in the vibrant setting of the Chinese capital. It was initiated in 2010 by two Beijing-based organizations, Thinking Hands and the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre. Its mission is to create and develop a high-profile platform in China entirely devoted to photography. Caochangdi PhotoSpring began with a three-year collaboration with the most important international photography festival, Les Rencontres d’Arles.
PhotoSpring will run from April 21 to May 31 2012 and showcase the work of more than 200 Chinese and international artists. Opening Week is April 21 to April 24 and packed with exhibition openings, screenings, artist talks, PhotoFolio Review, workshops, art actions and more!
Tien geselecteerde fotografiestudenten van zowel de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten (KABK) in Den Haag als van de China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing nemen deel aan de tentoonstelling ‘Struggle’. De officiële opening van de expositie in Beijing vindt plaats op 11 april om 15.00 uur in aanwezigheid van de heer Rudolf Bekink, ambassadeur van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden in China en in Den Haag vindt de opening plaats op 18 april 2012 om 17.00 uur in aanwezigheid van de heer Zhang Jun, ambassadeur van de Volksrepubliek, www.kabk.nl
Deelnemers aan de tentoonstelling zijn: Lu Shan, Charlotte Brandt, Gao Rongguo, Tim Zwitser, Dong Yuehang, Joel Nieminen, Zhang Xiaodi, Evelien Jaspers, Leng Wen, Mascha Jansen, Che Kuai, Aniek Mol, Yan Baoshen, Lisandro Suriel, Liu Di, Laurence Harms, He Fa, Gabi Van Ingen, Zhang Chao en Jolien Jong.
